Paryushan Parv

Jai Jinendra Friends,

While the auspicious festival of Paryushan (popularly known as “Dashlakshan Dharma Parv”) starts from today, all of us shall be preparing ourselves to better our live by involving and participating in things like Pooja, Ekasana, Upvaas and other activities. While these are necessary to be done, shall we not also try to take a step further and ask ourselves whether this is sufficient enough a preparation to celebrate a grand & holy festival such as Paryushan? We will in fact attempt to celebrate this festival in such a way that it becomes the stepping stone to a pure & great life ahead. We shall try to think over about our present lifestyle and shape it in these ten days so that rest three hundred & fifty five days of the year and actually the rest of the life become as systematic & genuine as our life during Paryushan itself.

We are presenting here some snippets from Kshamasagarji Maharaj’s Pravachans on Dash Dharma (as captured in the book “Guru Vaani”). Follow the first article in this series on Uttama Kshama in the next post.
